Technology is a great tool for the study and learning of pragmatics. An example of activity would be for example to examine the following video and decide what speech acts appear, whether they are mitigated or not, what type of politeness occurs,... (depending on the topic we are studying in class).

Go to the following page Dancing with words and watch the first two videos. Pay special attention to the request trategies being used by each of the speakers. Are they using direct requests? indirect requests? What about the hearer what strategies are they using for accepting or rejecting the request.
